Sashiko Sampler
Completed project size is 8.25 in x 7.5 in on 18 ct canvas. The shells are filled with designs inspired by blackwork, open work and lacy backgrounds.
Valdani Threads were the highlight of this project. We used 6 ply silk and 3 ply cotton sold in balls. The stitchguide includes instructions to draw the shell design but we used a Vintage Blue Zweigart 18 count canvas that adds to the overall openwork color scheme.
Valdani has discontinued some of these dyelots over the last 5 years. An adjustment is corrected on the stitchguide.
